A 3M adhesive backing as well as a 5 mm center hole, means these tokens can be adhered to or drilled onto a surface. This particular NFC tag model is commonly used for security access checkpoints as it can be easily mounted to metal-framed doorways. Tags come blank and are read/write ready -- once written, data can be "locked" so that the tag is read-only.
