Jennifer's Body DVD

First of all this is an incredibly fun film - not a dull moment. Mostly the horror is gore and not scary at all. The only truly scary moments are familiar to any woman and surprisingly mundane. That's one of the clever tricks this film pulls. People complain about the 1 dimensional boys but that's because this is a film that's fundamentally not about men, it's about female friendship, rivalry, sexuality and trauma. For women the most important relationships in high school are between women and the film is a tribute to that. The men in this film are treated the way sexy women are treated in slashers. This is on purpose and signposted pretty heavily with a bunch of obvious (but funny) role reversal. It's tragic I didn't understand this film was for women like me at the time. The marketing was way off. If you loved The Craft you'll love this.

This film is now getting the praise it deserves. Appearing as another campy horror film featuring hot girls and bloody murders, it gives an audience so much more to look at, especially a female audience. From the experience this film offers, we received iconic lines such as “I am a god” and “She’s just hovering, it’s not that impressive.” It also gifted us with an empowering villain that we can laugh and sympathize with. The film balances humor and tragedy on such a fine line the film unfolds a script well written.

Good for a late night chill film.

This movie is a bit of a slow build. Certain scenes had me like 'what the hell is going on?' but as the movie develops; things gradually made good sense. What Jennifer ends up becoming is interesting, but her character did feel a bit 'one-dimensional' in my opinion. Sometimes Jennifer says pretty revolutionary and cool things, but she isn't a very supportive friend to Needy- but I guess that's the whole point!What I found more interesting is the relationship between her and Needy. There is a huge rivalry and maybe even repressed attraction between these two characters: one as the follower who admires their beautiful friend; and the other that revels in her friend's obedience towards her.The 'horror' style scenes start to wear down in surprise factor, so don't worry it isn't scary for too long! It is more like a teenage gory dark comedy film!The acting is alright, they do a good job playing their respective characters.

Best film ever

Not a bad wee movie, Probably won’t be topping anyone’s favourite movie list, but as far as dumbed down teen horrors go it’s definitely up there, And if you’re looking for something that involves no thought then it’s a perfect easy watch.But the one thing that makes this a must watch is Megan Fox is unbelievably beautiful in it. Definitely her hottest role

The fact that there was a great story to begin with and it followed through to the end full of happiness and sadness and a friendship that ended when love was betrayed.

Love this film and the leeding ladies. A funny comedy horror. Pity a sequal was not done. Still better leave them wanting more than pile out endless sequals that eventually turn to trash movies.

When I first saw Jennifer’s Body in 2010, I wasn’t impressed with any aspect of this movie. I thought it was an average effort at best. Now, fourteen years later, I think it’s amazing, filled with a lot of social commentary and irony. And. It’s also incredibly entertaining.

Avec son scénarios déjanté Jennifer's Body prend le partie de la comédie, mais tout en gardant une véritable ambiance de films d'horreur (version teen movie bien sur), ce qui est assez rare pour ce genre de films se passant dans un Lycée ou dans une Fac. Ici l'histoire nous est conté par la meilleure amie de Jennifer (Megan Fox qu'on ne présente plus) joué par Amanda Seyfried (Le Petit Chaperon Rouge de C.Harwicke) qui est le véritable perso principal du film. Je ne vous Spoileraie pas l'histoire (comme certains) mais si vous aimez les films d'horreurs de façon éclectique il est force d'admettre que celui-ci (ds son genre) est plus que réussie, non seulement on ris mais le gore n'est pas exagéré visuellement mais de manière sugéré, et cela malgré quelque scènes bien saignantes. Née en 81 j'avais le même âge que les perso des "Screams" ou autres "Souviens toi..." a l'époque ou il sont sortit, déjà quand j'était ptit des films comme "Vampire vs avez dis Vampire ?" je kiffait grave, tous ça pour dire que les teen movie sont resté un plaisir pour moi quand ils ont quelque chose a proposé de bon : Un scénar potable, des scènes gores qui sortent du lot, ou tout simplement une réalisation réussie. Et bien Jennifer's Body réunis tous ces éléments et même plus, donc 5 étoiles bien mérité pour un film injustement critiqué par certains car comparé a des films (d'horreurs certes) mais pas du même genre. Ce n'est pas un Survival, un Shocker, un Rape and Revenge (catégorie réduite mais confirmés par les journalistes), ou encore un Slasher (films se passant très souvent ds ls mêmes lieux) c'est un Teen Movie fantastique ? Non Horrifique, c'est pas Twilight non plus ! Dont même les dessins animées pour enfants se moque ! (Hotel Transylvanie) De plus, malgré l'ambiance comique les acteurs sont réalistes et la réalisatrice sait se servir d'une caméra que demande le peuple ? Voire Megan Fox a oilp ?!
